About Rick

Rick Kidd Photography is an Ashland, Virginia-based professional photography studio dedicated to capturing stunning images across a variety of genres, including commercial work, portraiture, landscape / fine art, architectural & real estate photography. With a passion for storytelling through visuals, Rick combines his technical expertise with creative vision to deliver high-quality photographs that elevate personal and business branding. Committed to client satisfaction and outstanding service, Rick aims to turn moments into lasting memories and compelling visuals into powerful messages.

With over 30 years of experience, Rick has traveled all over the country shooting for large brands such as Capital One and Carmax. His work has been recognized by National Geographic, having won two category awards in their International Photography Contests. Rick has been flying drones commercially for over 7 years and carries a current FAA Part 107 license.

When not with cameras in hand, you'll find Rick spending time with his wife, Shay, and their two children, Davis & Ryan. Rick has a passion for fast cars, golf and a proper Old Fashioned.
